Despite all these videos, no camera can capture how amazing it is to see with your own eyes. I was very fortunate to experience it from my own backyard. That morning was complete overcast and rain too, but it cleared up a mere 30 minutes before totality.

I'll never forget the sight of this. Was in Dallas on our school turf. We had a clear view and because it was a supermoon it was huge. I've never seen the moon that large before and with the sun's corona effect what a sight for sore eyes

There was at least a 15°F temperature drop once it hit full totality where I live in Plattsburgh, New York.

I saw this in a town north of Austin and it did not go black. IT just was a diffuse light like at dusk . I did enjoy it but it definitely did NOT go black and I saw NO stars. It was overcast with lots of clouds and so maybe in this town where this man is screaming --it is different. I actually am so glad I saw it where I was rather than where this man was and everyone screaming when it goes dark. I actually felt peace when it went dark and very quiet. Then when the light came back is when I thought people would cheer but people are into darkness or sensation with that man screamibg: " Look what we did. " HE did nothing. Mother nature did everything.
