I’ve been doing maintenance ECT for years. I have schizoaffective disorder and it keeps me functional and sane. I will always thank ECT for changing my life.

I had this done a few months ago, 14 times. It has turned my life around. I was so depressed I couldn't get out of bed for six months but after ECT I am now able to function almost normally. I didn't believe it would work when I agreed to it but I'm amazed by how effective it is.

Thank you for showing this. I had ETC and was under the impression that I would be convulsing uncontrollably on the table. This gives me piece of mind that it was not a violent procedure.

I’ve had ECT over 300 times due to severe treatment resistant depression. I’m 33 years old and live in Australia 🇦🇺 I do NOT consider it to be barbaric in the slightest, although it hasn’t always helped make any difference for me (at other times however, it’s DEFINITELY saved my life - so when I’m out of treatment options it’s worth a go!)

Just had my first treatment. Unfortunately, the moment I woke up I had a really bad anxiety attack which I was told was because of the anesthesia. Also, I am writing this comment hours later and after taking a nap, I still have pain in my temple.
I hope the other 5 treatments I have scheduled can give me a positive success story like all the other comments, but so far I have seen 0 benefit for my severe depression.

May last 7 sal se khelta hu total pura jiban may 15 lac hara total loss. Lakin 5-6 bar loss cover kiya . Lakin iss bar loss cover hi nahi ho pa_raha, is up-down sa pareshan ho chuka hu... may jindagi may sirf paysa he nahi, bohut sara time, energy, health, mind sab loss kiya ... avi may khud 5 lac or karjh ma hu, kidney bech ne k siva koi dushra rasta v nahi, suicide v nahi kar sakta . At leeast or 2 sal jina hi parega 2 admi o ka payment kar na hi parega
