Flynn buddy, the French curves and white scotch brite pads (although out of stock currently)are at my Rockler. Gotta say though I'm really liking the new style of video. Little more serious but still with some good jokes. Def going to check out those triangular 123 style blocks.

Art shops are my source for:
Brown kraft paper for glue ups and finishing
Boiled linseed oil, gum turpentine, and beeswax - to make finishes and paste wax,
Scalpels and craft knives and blades - to cut and shape cardboard templates
Small palettes and brushes - small finishing jobs
Sketch books and pencils - designing and recording measurements

Looked up Rubio mono coat on A and there are a few variations. Which one should we get?

Really enjoyed this video! Rockler does have a different brand of white pads for Rubio application. How about a video on using the Rubio?

I saw you have a large supply of white Scotch-Brite pads. But, another source (for cheap!) is to buy a white buffer pad and cut it into usable size pieces. A 17" diameter Diablo brand pad is about $10 at Home Depot.

Just an FYI, the link to the speed square is not for the one you listed.

When I’m looking for woodworking stuff, I don’t search google….I type in Flynndogwoodwork. You really did a good job teaching that squirrel how to play dead.

Great video! I just got my Rubio for my first tests. What I like about Rubio is the repair ability of it. It’s durable, but any tabletop surface will require repair eventually. Lacquer requires a professional. Rubio would just require the owner to get some Rubio and reapply on the damaged area. Assuming they can find white scotch brute pads! I’ll point my customers to your video! ;)

How do you like the Rubio monocoat? Does it seem durable enough for real world use? I am used to film building finishes like lacquer, polyurethane etc.

What’s special about the white pads vs the other colours?

Really loving your videos. I’m a new subscriber. I’ve watched a bunch of other YT channels and I’m gravitating towards this one. A couple of others I like are Wood Working for Mere Mortals, Jonathan Katz-Moses, Matt Estlea.

If you cannot find the Scotch Brite pads, order white buffing pads for a floor sander. They are like 20" in diameter, and you can cut the size you need. Five pads for a little over $26 and lasts a long time.

With that first clamp item super glue the pads on there if not you will lose them as you pull that thing in and out. I have one like it and had to order new pads but instead i super glued chair feet pads on them for saving my wood.
