I enjoyed You Fei very much especially with Zhao Liying and Wang Yibo. Great chemistry and good plot. Slow initially but picked up, gets interesting, intensity builds as storytelling develops. Entertaining and enjoyable.

The Long Ballad is a huge international hit and I can see why. It has a good storyline with a great cast. So definitely the best drama for me!

Out of those mentioned drama THE LONG BALLAD is my favourite..It has a good storyline and depth despite the limited skinship of the main leads. Then followed by Storm Eye, My Heroic Husband, You Are My Hero, Doulo Continent and Rattan.

Douluo Continent deserves all love, not just Xiao Zhan as main lead but Shilanke seven are all so lovable (cue my baby rongrong) and the CGI is just too good. I hope second season will be sooner.

The Long Ballad 🤗 was the best overall! Most dramas, you only love the chemistry between the main leads, like in Rattan, and not necessarily the other characters or story. I love the entire cast of the Long Ballad (even the smaller supporting roles) and their chemistry when they are amongst each other. There was really great character development, interesting plot that wasn't slow paced, good dialogue, plus there were heart warming to heart wrenching scenes. For some fight scenes, I was on the edge of my seat, because the director had set up a thrilling screenplay leading up to the fights. The costumes and hair for the Ashile tribe were awesome. Last, but not least, the music was absolutely captivating. There's plenty of people who don't watch dramas using the Tencent website, so maybe that's why The Long Ballad is so low on the list.

Hello Markus, thank you for sharing the list of the most viewed dramas in 2021. so far 😊 I was not suprised by the ranking amd I must say I am super happy for Douluo Continent which, although not perfect, was so fun and emotional to watch that it remains my personal favorite in this year as well. No doubt for my XiaoZhan ...for me he is my rating King... He stayed top drama actor for 10 consecutive weeks despite duoluo continent ended its run... I am looking forward for The Oath of Love to premier... The rumor states that it will be on July or in August...


My prediction of the topweb drama will be the most recent "My dear guardian.. " I'm following this drama since day 1 and it captured me... This drama is highly recommended to all viewers who loves action, suspense, romance and comedy as well as a little bit slice of life... Both the casts are terrific when it comes to acting.. It is available on Iqiyi with english subs...

The Long Ballad already performed very well considering that it premiered much later than other dramas in the list (for example Legend of Fei in Dec 2019 vs The Long Ballad in end of March/early April), so the playback volume hasn't accumulated as much as those ahead of it. Give it time.

Douluo Continent deserves the first place. It's true that their only marketing relies on the original novel and Xiao Zhan, but the drama itself is pretty outstanding despite the huge differences from the original book. And of course, there are very few actors who could have portrayed Tang San's growth as well as Xiao Zhan's performance 🐰🔨
