Visited DC last December, the Holiday Market was great, and visiting many Christmas Trees and decorations was great fun. Personally my fave tree was in The Willard Intercontinental. The best display was in the Botanical Garden. Can't wait to visit again in 2021.

December is undoubtedly one of the best times to see DC. I love how the city becomes less crowded and lights up with simple decorations! The Alexandria boat parade which takes place in the first week of December is an awesome events worth exploring in DC...

The only months I'd never visited are December, January, and February. Breaking the December duck this year. Got to see some of those great displays.

Weather in December is unpredictable. It is usually pretty mild but we can get cold, rainy days. Bring layers. We rarely have snow for Christmas because we don't get much snow in December but are occasionally surprised by a storm, so yes, check the weather reports. We can get downright mild and beautiful days but expect it to be chilly.
