MN v. Derek Chauvin Trial Day 8 - McKenzie Anderson - Forensic Scientist

Fired Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin, 44, stands trial in the alleged murder of George Floyd, 46. As seen on the footage, the defendant kneeled on the victim’s neck for minutes until after the man became unresponsive during an arrest over an alleged counterfeit $20 bill on May 25, 2020. Jurors must determine under the law if Floyd died because of Chauvin’s actions, or if it was really something else. The medical examiner noted that he also had arteriosclerotic and hypertensive heart disease, and also fentanyl, and evidence of recent meth use.

Both sides jockeyed over evidence amid jury selection. Judge Peter Cahill ruled jurors can hear evidence Chauvin once told another officer in a separate arrest to apply a Hobble restraint–a kind of a restraining belt used by law enforcement–in a “hog-tie” position although a woman allegedly did not put up much resistance. The state can also show evidence that the defendant knew how it was dangerous to kneel on the neck of the prone Floyd.

They should have marked exactly on the street where Floyd's body was so she would have known where to look for blood evidence, rain or no rain.

How nice of it to rain, no blood or urine evidence, when in video tape there was blood and urine in the scene. So much for evidence after the rain . Smell cover-up in this case . CSI failed in this case .

I wonder if Floyd could have died from carbon monoxide poisoning from the car's muffler. The defense was saying that the liquid on the ground was from condensation from the muffler and Floyd was right there next to the car. Hmm. Just a theory since Floyd had high levels of carbon dioxide or monoxide in his blood.

Does anybody have the cross examination of this witness? I can’t find it here. I want to know what happens with the next testing of the pills and where the blood came from on GF and what the significance of it was. Looks like he was bleeding prior to any restraint.

32:13 idk what possessed me to get myself all worked up and obsessed with this tragedy all over again but here I am once more madder than a wet I do not have a bachelors, a masters, I do not have any degree in forensic science or anything at all to do with crime scene investigation whatsoever except for my degrees in common sense, degree from my life in the streets, REAL MFKN STREETS and human decency....the crime scene tape was not in the appropriate & or correct places to cover and protect the whole scene..those pictures are fkn USELESS AND DO ABSOLUTELY NOTHING AT ALL FOR THE INCIDENT, NOT EVEN A LITTLE TINY SICK TO MY STOMACH ALLLL OVER AGAIN...these police and investigators literally filled my heart with hatred for these certain people

So this forensics took pictures of everything but the blood on the ground. Where Mr. FLOYD was not breathing at. His face was smashed on to the asphalt and they took pics of the stores around.
