Narrative Adventure game THE COUNCIL releases today on PlayStation®4 ! THE COUNCIL is an episodic game like no other, as it delivers a fresh new take on the Narrative Adventure, where your choices and character growth truly matter.

Begin your journey with Louis de Richet on Lord Mortimer’s private island and try to discover your mother’s fate – before it’s too late. Joining you are a number of high-profile guests, including Napoleon Bonaparte and George Washington.

In a new twist for the genre, the core of THE COUNCIL’ gameplay comes from manipulating and maneuvering through character encounters using the unique Social Influence system. During confrontations, skills and limited resources can be used to gain the upper hand and achieve the desired outcome. Failing an encounter does not mean "game over." The consequences are permanent and may result in persistent physical disfigurements or mental traits.

Richet’s numerous skills can be developed to align with your chosen approach to the adventure. Solve issues with diplomacy, delve into occultism to expand your historical and scientific knowledge, or play detective and see what others do not perceive. The results will forever alter the life of Louis de Richet, of those around him, and shape history as we know it.

THE COUNCIL’s first episode, THE MAD ONES is available today on PlayStation®4. The complete season will include a total of five episodes, with new episodes releasing regularly in 2018.

For those of you asking about why his face looks that way, it's because of a toxic makeup called Venetian Ceruse. The lighter your skin was meant you were wealthy and stayed inside and didnt work, darker tanned skin meant you were poor and worked in a field. The makeup contained lead, mercury, and arsenic. The more the person wore it the more disfigured their face became, in turn making the user apply more to cover the damage. Whoever did the research did it well!

The art style is unique. For people bashing the design of the faces, obviously the design is different. That doesn't mean it looks bad.

For anyone still finding this game now and wondering if to play it: I can recommend this very highly if u like games like this but also want to see sth new. I replay it about once a year
