Hey Lydia. Greetings from Trinidad and Tobago in the West Indies. Quite often when speaking with other sewists, and women in general, I tell them that whatever problem you encounter in life, someone else, in another part of the world, is experiencing that exact same thing too. Obviously, not at the same time or day!! The thing that differentiates the two of you, is that either one of you, will come up with a solution to the problem, that will help the other out of his or her dilema. Like my soldier Dad used to say to us kids at home; "Yours, is not an isolated case." ❤ Or, "We are not isolated from such and such!" Many thanks for sharing. Very neatly done. Bravo and thumbs up to you. Now I'll go do my dress pants exactly like that. Only my zipper opening is on my left side, so I will take out the zip, install it into the center of an oval shape godet, then add the entire piece onto the pants side. Yippee! 😂😂😂😂❤

Nicely done!! I've increased the waist on many of my husband's pants using the back seam, but I've never opened up the side seams as you did. It worked beautifully! And that was brilliant to use a well-fitting pair of pants as the pattern for sloping in the seams. I'm going to use your ideas.
Peppercorn is ADORABLE!. We have 2 lovable kitties and one large highly affectionate dog. One of my kitties is always hanging around when I'm working at the computer or sewing. I drives me a little bonkers sometimes but I love him so much that I let him do it.

I got a fancy gig coming up in a few days and I thrifted some dress pants for the event and they happened to be too tight at the waist, luckily I got a sewing machine so I really hope I’m able to fix these pants 🤞🤞🤞
