This video is the first in this section looking at how we can apply differentiation to real world and practical problems. A part of the Year 12 (VCE Units 3 and 4) Mathematical Methods course, I take time to look at what a tangent and normal is and how we can use differentiation to find equations of both tangents and normals. There are a number of worked examples (and VCAA questions) to scaffold the theory explained in an easy to understand way.
