Regarding affordable housing: America needs to change drastically. Instead of actively discouraging people trying to improve their lives, and throwing people away if they don’t check all the boxes, we need to encourage people. I’m originally from Birmingham, Alabama. Right now thousands of homes are sitting empty and are dilapidating. I have no problem if everyone on a HUD waitlist was given one of those empty houses and Habitat for Humanity could help make it livable. This would be better for the person and for the house.

Keep enforcing those gun laws for the innocent and this is what we will see as the "norm". Criminals will have guns no matter what laws are put into place. We need to arm ourselves and make an equal playing field .

True, everytime a mass shooting happens and there are casualties, many send their prayers and good wishes.

Affordable housing initiatives almost always raise the cost of housing long term. Anything the government does that helps, is completely undone by all the many things it does that makes things worse. These poor people waiting on lists are just being tortured. Anyone wanting to help should either get government to start getting slowly out of the industry, or figure out how to build houses.
Finally, people living on minimum wage cannot afford the homes that can be legally rented. They need to at least pair up. Then they need to level up. Those with identifiable challenges should get help, but not just people who refuse to improve.
