First hurt my back deadlifting as a teen. Spent a few weeks taking it easy, thought it was good. In preseason I bent to pick up a ball, ended up on the ground in pain.

Got that taken care of mostly. Didn't have any issues through several years working. In my mid 20s it happened again stacking a retaining wall. It took several hours that time to recover to where I could drive home. Eventually got that solved and went several years without problems, all doing heavy labor.

Then, last year, I spent a month on the couch unable to walk or even cough due to a completely exhausted psoas. I've had several little flare ups since then, all related to working as a mover. I'm watching this video with a heating pad on. Thinking thoughts of office jobs, standing desks, and comprehensive health insurance.

I jumped from a 40 feet cliff and fucked up my back. Day 2 of recovery. Pray for me.

Lower back went out Tom. Hopefully I'll be healed up enough to go see your next movie in the theater. They can bring me in on a stretcher.

Super helpful, experiencing back pain from aggravating a previous military service related injury and this helped me identify the severity. Thanks for this!

Pulled my back 3 months ago when performing a bent over T-bar row and have been going to a chiropractor getting decompression and adjustments. I’m still dealing with the pain, I’ve made progress then began to feel the pain again.

I've had this pressure in my lower back. It started while I was squating about 135lbs and going pretty deep. I felt a pull and for about 2-3 days I had a hard time sitting and doing normal activities, eventually it went away.

Ever since then if I do strenuous activity involving my lower back I feel pressure build if I push it a little further than that the symptoms return.

Recently I was rollerblading and doing more jumps than I usually do. I felt the pressure and I decided to stop. I rolled down some stairs the the jolt from landing on each step triggered my symptoms again.

If I'm well enough to travel I'll visit my doctor. The pain is localized, the most it radiates is to my butt if I'm really trying to move while I'm feeling pain. I was thinking it was a nerve issue before, but I wouldn't describe my pain as radiating far out. It could just be muscle spasm and overwork, hopefully at least.

Dr Rowe, do you have any recommendations for a good brace for fixing posture. I have osteoporosis & have just found out via X-ray that I have a wedge in my vertebrae. Currently waiting an appointment with rheumatology that my GP referred me to. Also can you recommend some exercises for osteoporosis sufferers? Right now I’m frightened to do anything as I don’t want to exacerbate my current issues with my neck & back but at the same time I’m just becoming more stiff as the days go by😥

About a month ago I did a 405lb deadlift. I was fine just after the deadlift but the next days my lower back was a bit off. I still feel my lower back a little strange and sometimes it hurts. Do you think guys I should go and check it out?

Pulling my back out caused 3x more pain then having a surgery where they cut through my stomach muscles and removed a portion of my intestines. Pulling your back is not a minor injury
