Patreon tiers start at $1 a month, for which you get all the exclusive non-math member only videos, behind the scenes updates, and all that fun stuff.
Unfortunately it is difficult to integrate member content with Patreon, so early access and exclusive instructional math content is most easily accessed as a channel member. If you are a Patron and see any of this members-only content you want access to, just message me on Patreon and I will make a direct upload for you. It is an inconvenient workaround to an inconvenient system.
You can also access all lecture notes through Patreon for $5 a month.
The difference in pricing is because 1) YouTube takes a far bigger cut than Patreon does and 2) it is more difficult to provide exclusive and early content to Patrons, you're getting less, so the prices are less.

I'd rather just use one platform, but I've had Patreon for a while and many of you generous folk support me on it, so I don't want to get rid of it, but being able to integrate exclusive content directly in YouTube is a really smooth and intuitive way to deliver additional content.
