On the 14th Sunday of the Evangelist Luke the Holy Church of Christ commemorates the healing of the blind man by the way by our Lord. In this short homily Fr. Peter speaks to our own spiritual blindness and how our Lord is constantly passing by on our way, ready to stop and ask us if we would like to be healed. But, for this to happen, we must cry out from the depths of our hearts: Lord Jesus Christ have mercy upon me!

Thank you Father again for clarity also for making me rethink my priorities. This Lent is proving to be a time for great reflection and a kind of humbling cleansing. Your lectures are proving to be very helpful.

Start crying when i listen to your sermon. It is if I had a terrible day and call a very dear friend. He would say this words, to comfort and encourage me. Dear Father and friend, thank you so much. May you be blessed and your love ones.

Thank you Father Heers. I am tired to be wandering about aimlessly. Thank you Father Heers for this message today. Yes, I must learn to glorify Him all the time. I love the reminder.. The part where you said Heaven will not be of interest to you.... made me reflect deeply. Lord, have mercy on me. 🙏🏼❤

I once heard a sermon on this passage: The priest pointed out that blind Bartimaeus, being an experienced beggar and lacking pride, was not easily embarrassed, nor was he afraid of making a fool of himself in exposing his desperation. -- in spite of the many attempts to silence him.

From him we can learn to be better beggars.

What if the leaders of the churches think your arrogant for asking concerning questions regarding the deceptions today? Where do you turn to if your newly baptized but see people in the church bowing down to the world?
