I bought a lot of ~75 untested phones from Goodwill... and surprisingly, a lot of the phones turn on! In this video, I go through a bunch of these phones and see what interesting stuff I can find...

To find and bookmark my upcoming stream, search for my profile "jacobr" and click on my stream called "Tons of PHONES" and bookmark it. You will be able to bid on items during the auction, and I will likely have some stuff in the Buy Now section as well soon.

It's crazy and hilarious that so many people don't even reset their phone when they get rid of it.

The accessibility that you were hearing that was talking to you and that Samsung phone, is called talkback. It is called a screen reader. To turn off talkback on newer, android phones, you hold down the volume up and down buttons at the same time for about three up to five seconds. On older phones, you would act like you’re going to power off the phone once the menu comes up, put two fingers on the screen and hold it there for at least five seconds. Talk back should turn off. For iPhones, triple tap the home button. For iPhones, it is called VoiceOver. VoiceOver is the built-in screen reader on Apple devices. The screen reading software help the blind do the exact same tasks as sided people.

ZTE is sold in Australia under various prepaid carriers. I believe it’s a Chinese OEM

It actually makes sense a lot of these phones are recent. People have been switching back to basic, or "dumb" phones.

Petition to pass a law making it so all your messages must be publicly read if you don't reset your phone/PC before getting rid of it. If you don't value your privacy, we'll value your embarrassing messages.

After all these years of using that one flip phone, I had no idea if you held down the D pad arrow it would bring up the tip calculator

1:35 ZTE was a quite common Chinese phone brand a few years ago. They made decent equipment. I remember using a flip dumbphone made by them as a secondary device about a decade ago

You seem to be on the right track, here in Germany you can buy like a Pack that includes a rental car, hotels etc. and then you can do like a road trip throughout different parts of the USA and since it also has a translator built in on the bottom of the screen it probably is some sort of GPS for tourists.

16:23 I remember there being a minigame like that in one of the Brain Training games for the DSi, but instead you had to handwrite words letter-by-letter with the touchscreen, if I recall correctly. I completely forgot about this, but that sparked the memory of that minigame

Accessibility: From my experience the Accessibility settings allow you to do actions in the setup to bypass theft protection. (Yes i was so dumb to factory reset a phone before connecting it to wifi and having issues with that)
