Seeing your first set up is really cool. That kiln looks hellish. Thanks for paving the way for the rest of us. My experience was much easier going.

Best, modern kiln for beginnings to grow with?

For context I've worked about a year in a shared studio space with all the bells and whistles. Have some space closer to where I live where a smaller studio would be permitted. I was thinking a second hand Paragon but am very curious about some other thoughts.

I really need basic kiln use and having an idea of my studios safety. Haven't got good funding but I'm trying to make it work

I am new to glass blowing and just bought my own gtt torch. Can I pick your brain about setting up a foot pedal?

I would love to just know when it is mandatory to put a piece in the kiln. What dictates when a piece needs the kiln vs letting it just cool off on a marver. I have a kiln and fire my pieces normally, but do not have the electricity connection for it in my rent home right now. I want to work on making sculptures like the swan and fish but dont want them to break after cooling. Maybe I just can't work on glass right now?

I'm in the process of setting up a studio. I've acquired the necessary tools over the years as it's been my hobby, and am currently installing a 5hp air compressor to be used in conjunction with an oxygen generator. One question, what's currently the best flame temperature boosting agent, as I'm used to using bottled oxygen but due to my remote location it's going to be a major hassle transporting tanks to the nearest welding supply (100 miles away).

Easy setup is a national 3a and a cardboard box with vermiculite but you have to cover the box when you're not using it to make sure your cat's don't sh!t in it in a 10x10 tent in your backyard. The shop and all the other stuff will come later...getter done, or in other words just start.
