Merci, Claire in the Midlands. While I am improving in the understanding of spoken French, having important concepts of French explained in my native language ensures that I am not missing an important detail.

I would highly recommend learning them when you learn the verb then memorizing them via continued use in speech and via hearing them. Don't stare at a list for hours as sometimes verbs can use more than one and create unique meanings. Just learn it through immersion, you may make more mistakes at the start but it'll be worth it and you'll end up with a deeper understanding than having memorized lists.

The last example.. "il faudra téléphoner à la compagnie des eux cette semaine"neither has on nor nous so how do we understand it is "we" in French.. does il also mean we other than he & it?
