How does your MRBM achieve terminal guidance?

The idea that the retirement of the Truman early is motivated by these new realities would be a lot more convincing if they kept the Truman and instead abandoned the Ford class altogether, as the white elephant concept of another age.

32:45 "... I will try to foil your attempts to make us disagree.."
How about using that as a strategy to avoid war and de-escalate tensions, instead always looking at ways to spend money preparing for a war you know is impossible to win?

1:17 I don't think their strategists have yet caught up with the fact, that the time isn't on their side at all. You're not going to win this competition by sitting on your ass and "deterring" the enemy. If US is going to survive next 30 years it will have to cause, and then win a war, or a series of wars against China in particular. The more they wait the more the power slips away- I think this is painfully obvious after Covid, and how well China has done and recovered it's economy already, and how terrible was the US handling of the crisis at the same time. This will only accelerate this process. In the coming Cold War, the US is going to be the new Soviet Union - They will have a pitiful fraction of the enemy's population and industry. And a brewing ethnic conflict unfathomable even in USSR, where East Slavs had a solid 70% majority

Keeping the kill decision in human hands whist fighting armies that have no such moral accountability and AI is a mistake.

Why would anyone attack America when they can just walk right in?

I see a lot of flaws in the ideas talked about in this segment. There are some voices of reason like the notion of a halt on referring hardware in plain numbers, nowadays hardware must be judged by the capabilities in a particular scenario, with a certain environment to comply with. The major flaw I see, that will be the most difficult to tackle in US is the fact of your moral standards and clarity when presenting to the citizens. Even though US government is not a flawless diamond it will encounter problems, that governments of China and Russia can ignore completely. A clear example of that is the use of AI in autonomous weapons and the responsibilities for war crimes being passed on the officer that will have no hands-on control over the device.

Basically, a Japanese Samurai restraining himself from using firearms because of the Bushido Code.

US Forces can achieve superiority. The problem that must be quickly, swiftly and decisively eliminated is visibility. Seems to me like the US has forgotten the edge that Stealth systems provided when introduced. These systems must be expanded onto all forces and all industries. Right now you are an open book, it gave you clear advantages in the area of power projection but crippled your actual capabilities. The US needs to get under the water and under the ground, beyond the sight of adversaries.

With the current spread of influence and capabilities, US should create a new global awareness network that is easy and quick to deploy, hard to notice, autonomous and for the love of God- doesn't fly!

As for the far future, I believe NAVY should receive a platform capable of combining the matrixes they work on to tackle the problems and receive the benefits of each of those. With a focus on quality and capabilities over the quantities. Yes, I mean a jet that can submerge and continue mission underwater.

As for the military forces in space and orbit, I think this area is going to become increasingly clear and dangerous to operate in with the coming years.

Very interesting video! If possible, please work on a new audio/mic setup for future presentations. The intro speaker's mic was way over modulated and later the background hiss is really quite overpowering.
