Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 Controller Settings Explained (Zero Build + Build Controller Settings)

In this video I go over my controller settings in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3. I show my controller sensitivity, keybinds, and all the other game settings as well. if you don't wanna invest in a pro controller, you can use quick swap and then bind jump to LB/L1 so you can jump and aim at the same time. personally i've never really felt like i had an issue doing so with A (if i put the middle of my thumb on A i can use the stick at the same time) but if it's something you're concerned about it's an option

I use Xbox controller, just ordered an elite series controller to get some back paddles to hopefully allow for more movement in fights without taking my thumb off the aim stick.

I'm on a standard Series controller but changed jump to LB instead of A, that way I can always keep my right stick aiming (and keeping aim assist active) Then Y is quick weapon to swop between slots 1 and 2. RB is next weapon and B is previous weapon. The sensitivity settings I learned from this video made a huge difference. Thank you!

Quick weapon has worked great for me personally. I use a normal ps5 controller.

Only issue I'm having is my Elite controller not being fixed need a replacement kit ASAP:( playing with a controller that has stick drift on both of them so my dead zone is at 20 on both.

Thanks for the video Jake. I’m good with my settings but I know this will be useful for lots of people. I use an Elite Series 2 with all 4 back paddles, short thumbsticks and shortest trigger stops. Would recommend the Elite 2 to any Xbox player.

Any reason for the 1080p and capped at 240 FPS? I have a PC that is way worse than yours and get a smooth and consistent 360 FPS on 1440p. But maybe there is some reason why that I don’t know of.

The only setting I'm surprised about is the DirectX 12. I have a pretty good computer but it stutters so much on DX12 so I end up using low performance mode. I will try out your settings but I'm not sure if the view distance will affect me seeing enemies from super far away. Thanks for the videos as always

I use a dualsense edge for ps5.. Debating on a controller with 4 back paddles... But the edge is great... I've seen people with auto pickup on and some off, what are some pros and cons for this in zero build?

I'm a mouse player but might try controller for fun or/and reduce fatigue. The amount of looking around in fortnite tires my arm and wrist

I prefer any pro custom PS5 controller. The current one I have is a custom Aim PS5 controller with hall effects sticks and have been loving it. And Yes, I did use code Evolve Jake for the discount. Or use your link if there was a better discount then. It did take some getting used to the new sticks. And, I did had to lower my settings for the hall effects sticks. I think I have like 30% ads instead of 42% as normal. But I am at work right now. So I can't get on the game to see my sens. But so far, loving my new controller.
