Abandoned their beliefs and accepted Christianity?
More like we’re forced into Christianity or be obliterated.
King Harold became Christian out of political interest.
And Norway has fought desperately to bring pagan culture back.
Christians also destroyed upsallah. The holy place, believe me culturally it wasn’t a choice.

What reminds me of Vikings would be the Viking sword. Take Epcot’s Maelstrom ride for example. You can easily see that the Disney Frozen Ever After ride has Easter eggs reminding of the Maelstrom boat ride which also include how the Viking sword can be seen where the boat shows at the waterfall which was closed just a lil towards the right slightly you can see the Viking sword that is slightly tilted towards the left side.

The women gave talismans for protection and love. They wanted to be thought of before war. Men need reminders and hope. Strength is believing that there's a reason to go on fighting when not knowing if the last time seeing loved ones will be the last. Having a charm of love to hold in death is way of being with your loved ones. The afterlife is a life after fighting. Fighting for love. Love is fought for. To see again in the afterlife your love is everything. A talisman is a charm of a thought.
If I'm wrong then I will not be right ever...

Having horns on your helmet would be seriously foolish. Your enemy could grab them and you would be at their mercy.
