I ALWAYS have to have my music with me so....
When i study-instrumental versions of songs or the album Pretty Odd by Panic! at the Disco
When I clean/do something for my parents- any music that i can dance to
When I read- depends on the book because I like to set and really nice mood for myself when I read
When I'm in school- I listen to songs where the message is to just keep going through the day or just stay alive
When I blog on tumblr- usually soundtracks from movies/plays/TV shows or Fall Out Boy
Any other time- depends on my mood and what time of day it is

As a karaoke singer and story/character creator music is my life! Sad music, dark music, popular music, soundtracks, epic instrumental, etc., I listen to it all! I also listen to music while studying but more when writing out all the stuff you need for your studying sheet and not during the knowledge-procession XD. I also listened to English songs while studying French vocabularies a while back, I am not doing that anymore, but it did not bother me in the long run. However, I mostly listen to music while writing or exercising. Exercising without music = kill!

If you are looking for good music without lyrics go take a look at Two Steps From Hell.  Personally I like loud music with lyrics like Kiuas.

Well, while I study or do things of that sort, I can't concentrate if I have any type of music, lyrics or no-lyrics. The reason for that is:
If I listen to a song/a playlist, it means I like the music on it, and I have a really hard time NOT paying a lot of attention to songs I really like. (For studying I usually use apps like Rain, Rain, or websites such as Rainymood or RainyCafe which give me a relaxing background noise that isn't distracting, but allow me to concentrate in a way that pure silence wouldn't).

On the other hand, for writing my stories, songs, poems, etc. I very much can have music in the background. It's a little bit harder to write like that than with rainymood or rain, rain, but I perfectly well can do it. The only difference is that every second that I'm not typing or writing down something, I'm paying attention to the music, so it makes it difficult to get it into an where I'm writing super fast and nothing can get to me and I'm invincible. :P

I hope that makes sense.
(P.S. awesome video Ashleigh! <3)

Ironic how I hated the background music in this video.
