As I was noodling with the excellent Archetype Tom Morello, I thought it'd be cool to re-purpose some old riffs to demonstrate some of the tones available - I ended up tweaking 12 Neural DSP presets for Rock & Metal with the Archetype Tom Morello.

This Guitar plugin by Neural DSP is really inspiring it covers anything from Bluesy edge of breakup to Fuzzed out Doom, Funky guitar tones to gnarly Synth Guitar tones. And of course it excels at nailing those classic Rage Against The Machine & Audioslave guitar tones.

The heavy Marshall JCM800 tones on this plugin sound and feels great to play!

Needless to say Neural DSP did a fantastic job on the Neural DSP Archetype Tom Morello Sim plugin (yet again) and this is as good as it gets if you want that unique 90's Tom Morello Funk Metal guitar sound or shall we say Funk Rock Guitar Tone 😅

Issue with Tom Morello is... You're just going to sound like Tom Morello. Can't really hear myself using these in broader contexts. All the rhythm patches are muddy as hell, and yeah you can try and sort it in EQ, but there are existing Archtypes I can use to get the sound I want with way less work. Honestly the easiest pass in a while. ( I say this as someone who owns like 7 of these).
