Annie, I remember the first time I found your channel. I was like “She’s a freshman too omg!”. These last 4 years have been a lot especially coming out of lockdown. Now we’re both seniors and I can totally relate to how you feel. I also have a lot of “what ifs” on my mind. College will be a chance to make new memories and experience new things. I wish you all the luck with your college decisions🩷.

I felt the same in highschool! I didn't feel academically motivated because the topics I was learning wasn't too interesting for me. Now that I'm almost done my first year of university (what you guys call college), I felt sooo much more motivated to study, go to class, and be studious lol. Getting to choose your courses to tailor into what you're interested in is soo amazing genuinely so grateful. You're also in a major that YOU chose and YOU want to do!

Annie, as a senior applying to similar schools as you, every observation in this video hit so close to home. Especially as a Christian I've been grappling with whether this is His will or due to my lack of work. Thank you for being so vulnerable, because you voiced thoughts I had not been able to put to words and this was very relatable. I know USC has so much more in store for you than you can even imagine. Congrats!

annie don't be discoureaged, you're one of the hardest workig people on this app and i was actually shocked to hear about these rejections.
i went through a similar but different experience. i worked so hard to get good grades and go to a great university. unfortunately, when the time came for me to apply, my family was no longer in a position to help me finance my studies (scholarships aren't really academic or merit based in europe) so i ended up having to throw all my dreams away because i couldn't afford it. i believe that we're both where we need to be though, god has a plan for all of us xx

Annie can you make a video reflecting more on your middle/high school days? You didn’t have a very “normal” school life. Looking back you were extremely busy and at a constant state of “productivity” do you think that has affected you? I’m so happy for you. I’m a 16YR old who started watching you back in 2019 during that dote situation. Seeing you grow & also change has been so inspiring to me. I’m also kind of in that similar state of “constant productivity” to go to a top/good college/

Annie, it's amazing how much courage you have to share this. Even though I've not yet been through the college application process I feel your pain. Don't worry though, I'm sure whatever path you end up taking will be the best one for you!!💖

hey Annie, as a high school senior who just went through this process probably in the same time period as you did, I remember feeling extremely dejected and self conscious, I felt as though I could have done more or better to be good enough for these colleges. As these thoughts were running through my mind, I realized that I would not trade my high school experience for this, I had so much fun, learnt so many things inside and outside class and made the closest friends of my life. I found that trusting the universes plan and not engaging in counterfactual speculation is extremely important. At the end of the day you end up in the right place and what you do is more important than where you go <3

I thought I was the only one with thoughts like " What if it wasn't God and I just didn't get that opportunity because I didn't work hard enough?" I've found I feel that way because I don't trust myself and that I look for a way to blame myself when I don't get the opportunity to cope with why I didn't get it because in my mind I'm like: it's what I wanted, why didn't I get it? ect...Then I find out a couple weeks or so after that I was, in fact, NOT suppose to get that opportunity- My best Advice to you is to trust yourself more, trust the work you do more ( If you are a work acholic or recovering from being one, this is going to hurt and take some time, TRUST ME...) and trust that God isn't going to allow you to miss something great or something that will change your life for the better! Stay safe and stay gorgeous babes! 🎀And I say babes because this is for EVERYONE reading this, not just Annie LOL- Byeeee 💋💝

As an international high school senior who has just finished a very stressful college app szn, this video is so relatable. I feel so grateful and lucky to be admitted by a reach t10 uni right before the end of all my decisions. Feeling anxious about moving to the US, but I believe that everything will work out at the end. Wishing us all the best and sending love. 加油!

Thank you for sharing your journey while navigating this new chapter. I am in the same shoes as you as a senior in high school and got rejected from every other school other than my first choice. It’s certainly conflicting whether you were meant to go to this school, but I think the situation is definitely what you make of it. My journey feels less lonely and you help me to find the light in my situation. Congrats on USC Annie!
