Bit awkward to connect up with the pieces at first I could have done with another pair of hands at times but now wired up and working the cooler works well the fan isn't silent but is quieter than the usual cooler that comes with the Ryzen CPU's, If you are on a budget keep to the Included Ryzen Cooler. This is part of a Retro gaming build I'm working on which will include the build, operating system install and all the emulators and posibly a front end to tie all the emulators together 👍

I've installed two of these Hyper 212 EVO coolers. You bypassed how the middle spring loaded pin is used and how to best align the very small pin with the hold-down when installing the cooler so that everyting is algned and flush with the top of the CPU. A picture of the correct allignment would be worth a lot.

It seems not all Hyper 212 evo kits come with the black plastic attachments for the standoffs. Most of the guides I've looked at don't include them, but mine needed them for the screws to reach.

hey mate do you know where i can get the backplate only ? I purchased an used heatsink, this particular one in the video, and it has only the intel backplate with it.

Bro I did not know the fan comes off the heat sync. I watched the video wayy too late, my fingers are so sore 🤦‍♂️

That's a big ass cooler m8! never seen one like that with full size fans. Did it not come pre-loaded with thermal paste? It's coming along nicely, great vid :)

the back plate doesn't fit gigabyte motherboards I guess ? I got a B550 AC PRO and it just doesn't fit
