I don't know a single person who cheats that isn't a degenerate IRL. I firmly believe 99% of cheaters are just all around bad humans. My dad who barely games said this: " If you can't do your hobby ethically how can I trust you with anything else?"

I remember people running lagswitches, wall hacks/aim bots and hacked lobbies on 360. On Blacks Ops 1, I started a game on Firing Range and it was nuts! People (including me) were running at god speed and after the game, I’d gained 10 levels 😮 That was when you could stay in the same lobby but I got out of there quickly lol. I cannot believe that in 2024, it feels as if there’s a cheater in almost every game. You also have pros and streamers cheating, mostly without consequence. SBMM seems to have made the problem worse. I miss the OG Cods but I can’t stop myself, I continue to buy every game in the franchise. 🤦🏼‍♀️

Swagg is a blatant cheater, Cloakz is a blatant cheater, Fifakill is a blatant cheater etc etc, they have all been cheating for years now and making money out of it. To me that shit is way more disturbing.

I fired up black ops 2 last week and one of my teammates was a white hat hacker .. i called out somebody for wallhacking and he booted him from the lobby for us lol

Back in halo you didn’t even need to be the first one you could “bridge” host and force it to yourself and stand by. I was a 12yr old interested kid at the time and learned how to do it quickly. You’d need more than the standby button on the modem too. Wish I pursued it with the computer tech side of it (not the cheating) I could work my away around a pc at 12 and can’t even do a simple search anymore 🤣

Thank you so much for saying something as someone with influence I keep telling everyone in my streams that it makes it hard to even try to get anywhere with all the cheaters I miss back when world at war style comp (40-year-old gamer), but I just feel hopeless going into matches or try to move up ladder. PPL may not like this, but I wish cheating came with harsh legal issues. BTW great throwback on lag switch. Love the stream.

I was like 13 or 14 when halo 2 came out and definitely tried all the different cheats just because it was fun, there was this one “ zombie glitch” where you would appear to be in one spot but on your screen you’re somewhere else, and as soon as you moved you’d be teleported back to your real body .
So we would do it and keep the real body at your own base on ctf. And your ghost body would be passenger seat of the wart hog, driver would let you out right next to their flag and you get out grab the flag move and you’re teleported to your base

100% agree. I remember growing up back in the old days too where cheaters were pretty much hated by the entire lobby. I remember I had one guy get me into an infected lobby and as 11 year old me, I was fucking siked and I got into my next match, clipped through the map and just shit on people and the amount of abuse thrown my way made me never cheat again. Now that I'm an adult (ish), I seriously think people who are cheating on a pro level should just get banned from gaming in general. I dont know how that would work but they should be forced to play hello kitty island adventure or animal crossing exclusively for the rest of their life.

Used to play Killzone 2 back in the day, was ranked top 25 in the world and would regularly be placed in games with the top 1% of players. No.2 in the world was a guy named Killionaire who would consistently lag switch and drop 100 kills per game. It was incredibly frustrating as you just couldn't legitimately get to No.1 for longer than a day due to this clown. That was my first experience with cheaters in an fps game.
