How to Swap Clutch on a E36!! DIY

Finally I got to change the clutch on the BMW E36 316i beater!
Really fun to try and do most of the work myself!

You should also lubricate the clutch release lever at the two pin points and at the throw out bearing.

Nice upgrade. Btw was the pilot bearing still ok? Normally you change the pilot bearing when replacing the clutch. And has the 316 compact a single mass flywheel? Because the clutch you' re using is a single mass flywheel plate🤔

What year model is that E36? Do all E36 316i compacts have single mass flywheel & hydraulic clutch?

But the compact still need some lowering springs or coilovers

I've lowered a transmission with the car on jack stands and caught the transmission in my arms. Not something I recommend.

You have to bleed out the system the clutch will be harder
