00:01:26 - Spoiling the video
00:02:45 - The frame won't win any awards, but it's ... FINE
00:04:24 - Excellent documentation for beginners

My Nazgul Eco setup video:

00:06:03 - FC has AT32 chip. What does that mean?

00:06:47 - BLHeli_S ESC is actually a GOOD THING

BLHli32 is dead. Now what?

00:08:09 - Analog 1.6W vTX
00:08:43 - vTX makes its rated power

From a review standpoint, I prefer the DVR footage over a GoPro. It shows the audience exactly what to expect when they fly the quad.

My Nazgul V1 is still kicking! Years of absolute abuse and only replaced 1 arm, a camera, and the vtx. The thing is an absolute tank

I remember the build it yourself kits for $100 to $125. You learn so much building your own stuff.

Josh, some tips for the GoPro mount: The GoPro mount was so weak because it was printed flat. Tensile (pulling) strength in 3D prints is weakest along layer lines (so up and down as it comes off the build plate). You can make it better by rotating the part 90 degrees so that the loops the GoPro attaches to print flat (the printer draws a ring of plastic for the inner part of the shaft and a big loop of plastic going all the way to the part that touches the drone for the outside perimeter). You'll need supports, but the extra filament and cleanup is worth it.

This may move the weak point to the screw holes for the mount. A 45 degree rotation might be a good compromise. Scrub up and down through the layer display in your slicer and try to suss out whether there are enough loops to get the strength you think you'll need. If not, you can rotate the model to give more loops to the screw holes (or vice versa).

Also, printing with thicker layers is usually better for strength (for tearing forces, a bunch of small strands can tear one by one until they're all gone, but in the same amount of space, thicker strands will withstand more force before failing that way).

For more info on layer adhesion strength testing, look at some of CNC Kitchen's videos (try searching his channel for "layer adhesion" or "strength"). HTH.

Hey, I’m an engineer at Rowan university and I want to thank you for your tutorial and kit drone. It taught me a lot and it’s a ton of fun!

Regarding GPS performance. I recently installed an m10 and copied that style of mounting. As soon as the vtx is turned on the sats dissappear.

I moved the vtx antenna to a long tpumount in front of the battery. GPS works. Vtx works. Soft Battery stopper added. GPS is in optimal position. Antenna sticks up above battery and reception gets better when you turnaround if video breaks up. Also video antenna is cheaper than battery so all around a good deal. 👍

Can't beat the price. I'm impressed. Not by the flight quality. But by the price.

Instead of Eco I've ordered Nazgul v3 as my first 5 inch quad. Came last week, and maaaan. Shit rips my balls off, thats how powerful 5 inch quad is. Hang time is ridiculous (compared to 2s mobula, 4s cinelog25 and avata 2 which I've flown most - in that order).
Great Machine, also quite dangerous, If you're not careful!

Hell yeah. My first 5" was the Cidora SL5-e for 200 bucks back in '20. Happy to see them doing it again.

Whats really funny is that when he was ripping around talking about analog and how locked you feel I was thinking "Maybe I should get a pair of fat sharks and go back." Then he started showing the DVR and I was like "Oh yeah, I remember why I went to digital."

Just bought the O3 version and it’s freaking amazing! I flew it a lot of time in the last 2 weeks and it’s really funny, incredibly responsive and can mount a full size osmo action on his top without a single problem. An incredible drone, now always in my backpack with my Geprc Cinebot 30!
