As a disabled person, I appreciated Charles Krauthammer's insights about life and politics and I greatly admired his wit, humor and intellect. I didn't know until this year that he was disabled and when I learned more about who he was, I was humbled and encouraged. His wisdom through his writings and his televised reporting will live on in perpetuity. His legacy will continue through his family and all of the friends (on and off screen) he made along life's journey. Aloha 'oe Charles Krauthammer, dis old Aunty is one of many who will mourn your loss but will always remember and appreciate the impact you had our lives.

To Charles' ohana, I have written you in my Prayer Book and will lift you all in prayer for the rest of my life. When you feel the waves of grief come, just remember to take the love you have for him and use it to ride the waves of grief like a surfer rides the waves of the sea. At first you will feel the pain when they crash around you but as time goes on, you will become one with them and you will be comforted by all your memories.

Back in high school (early 70’s), I lost all interest in politics. That interest was rekindled a few years ago as a direct result of his insightful and thought-provoking commentary, to which I am grateful. May his next journey be as rewarding as this one has been !!

Charles literally was one in a million. His common sense approach to life and politics should make all the grand standers in Congress hang their heads in shame. He was the intellectual voice for the common man that helped get the common voice to be heard in the election

Just watched several heartfelt memorials to Mr. Krauthammer. Even though we knew his end was near, and Charles was ok with that. Was still sad to hear of his passing. May this good man rest in peace now. Extending my condolences to the Krauthammer family.
