What to do for a horrible sunburn!

Ibuprofen, Benadryl, Aveeno severe dry skin lotion, cortisone cream, and double bagged crushed ice.

Ice the skin no longer than 3-4 mins (double bagged to avoid making the burn even worse) to cool the skin/numb the terrible itchiness. After the skin is numb apply cortisone for anti itch and then severe dry skin lotion with no frangrances to replenish the damaged skin.

Ibuprofen will help temporary pain relief/reduce the inflammation response. Benadryl will counteract the itch response and make you drowsy so you can get some sleep while your body gets to work healing you up. Apply the crushed ice as needed for a topical cure and use this experience to never be stupid about sun protection again!!!

The actual aloe Vera stalk/leaves work best, even more soothing if you put them in the fridge for a while before applying to the sunburn🙂☺️

Plain greek yoghurt - ice cold out the fridge! Step sun suffered, when little, took the burn away reduced swelling. Bonus that he was not heat sensitive the next day, really worked, thought the neighbors gran was nuts when she told me, but have used it once or twice on friends, same result, soothed instantly and after an hour or two, pain gone! Stepson since remembers sunblock!😉

Natural yogurt, slap it on wait 20 mins then lukewarm shower it works a treat - honest

You can also put shaving cream all over the sunburn leave it for as long as you can tell it starts melting then use cool, moist washrag gently wipe it off and the next day day will be done and yes, I know this because I’ve done it

I’m so mad right now because I got a sunburn and my mom had my stay home from school because it hurt so bad. Now I am at my grandparents house and because it HURTS they are saying I am acting like I’m sick because I haven’t been eating and I have been coughing because of ALLERGIES and it’s my little cousins birthday so they came over and i said happy birthday and they are making jokes of how I look with the sunburn and my mom isn’t here and if I cry they will say I ruined my little cousins birthday.
