I met blur on the train yesterday on the way to their Jools Holland gig, being 15 and by myself I was scared of going up to my idols but i'm so glad I did they are honestly the nicest people mad to think i saw them on the train. They were totally cool about having photos ect..  truly amazing people can't wait for the rest of the magic whip now.

You can hear great combination from coxon guitar, james bass dan rowntree beat soo perfectly balance with albarn vocal, its a hard rock buat also light. And you know the lyric is about broadcasting yourself on internet with social media or youtube right?

At first, I didn´t like this song, but as I listen to it more and more I am getting more and more hitched! Becoming a favorite now! Love the guitar a lot, and Alex is rocking it with his bass lines!

Here is an impressive audio detail on this album. At the very beginning of the first track Lonesome Street you hear a strange digital whip-like sound effect, repeating in both the left and right speakers.
I thought it sounded like a "magic whip" so I listened to the Ice Cream Man song, and at 2:06 there is the same sound effect. It comes just after this line: "With a swish of his magic whip, All the people in the party froze".
So the album actually begins with a magic whip! Hats off to the producer Stephen Street for making this much effort.
