Hello Jakov, I have been a long time programmer, though I am a civil engineer by profession and AutoLISP/Visual Lisp were my preferred languages. I love to use Lambdas and its first use was probably in Lisp which perhaps gave it the AI capability. I came across this interesting video in my search for a way to implement the lambda expressions with Java the same way I did with variants of Lisp way back in late 80s and did some interesting design and automatic drafting of certain sections of projects like highways and sewerage systems. Now I am attempting same with Java with Lambda.
So, thanks for your contribution to Java community!.

I think java is so popular, bcz plenty of library support, and also java people keep updating it with newer versions, and one of the main reason is Java is a native language for Android, hence Most of the backend for mobile apps are using java. So it good to start with the Java for Any one how is aspiring to learn programming.

My favourite thing about Java is the JVM. It is still one of the best cross-platform virtual machines out there. (It is amazing how, even in this era of multicore processors, so many virtual machines still can’t do full preemptive multithreading without significant performance issues. I’m looking at *you*, Ruby and Python.)

If you started working at a startup today and needed a java server fast to develop stable and fast with large community which server would you use?

I've been a network engineer by trade for the last 20+ years. However, programming has always been a hidden pleasure of mine since I was 12 years old. I've been working with Java fairly consistently for the last 4 years and though I see that I understand much and can accomplish many things ... I'm not sure that my knowledge and skills are "on par" with that of a paid professional. It seems to me that I lack the "formal" education that seems to be commonplace for a "professional" - such as all of the terms and definitions which I realize are fundamental in overall understanding. So my question is ... where does one go - to "formalize" his knowledge in Java when he's otherwise done quite well in real world coding without the formalities? Are there any books you can recommend or other resources?

Hello Jakov! It would be very helpful for us if you create Tutorials of Spring Boot Framework. Do you intent to do that recently?

Awesome job :) just one point, Raspberry Pi is not an OS in the list of OSes. Maybe use Rasbpian instead.

lol I love Java it's sometimes difficult relation, there is much to work with, and grinding up the edges can be hard but It's rewarding like no other; the amount of satisfaction when everything is working smoothly is just a mountain top experience.

thank you for the video, but i would like to ask
what book would you recommend to learn Java ( not programming logic ) to a Software Engineer student 4th year

I like a stable language. So an update cycle of 6 months produces far to many flavours of a language. To me C is a better role model for keeping a language world (community, libraries, tools, ...) together.

Is java free to use? Isn't there some oracle thingy?

I love Java so; I think best oop language is JAVA. Everything is logical. Clearly clean language. I know language is not a purpose, it is a tool on the way of programming. But I can't agree with this idea. The language sometimes may be purpose. Some programming languages are so useless and unpractical. Like if you are agree with me. Comment if you disagree.
