Graham Aker was seriously one of my favorite character. He appeared in Episode 1 right in the beginning and they kept showing him up until the ending, and he understood what it was that Celestial Being was all about.

Best non-newtype/innovator/super soldier/ pilot in the entire franchise

"This isn't dying! This is ensuring that mankind will survive!"

Those words have stuck with me for the past 5 years to this day just like Heero Yui's "I will...I will...I will...I WILL SURVIVE!" when I was a kid.

I loved Graham Aker's role throughout the series, he was the only person to defeat a Gundam in a Flag, the very first human to have a license, the first enemy to use Trans-Am, and the only human being without quantum brainwaves who surpassed Celestial Being and the Gundam Meisters. Even his death was epic, I mean there was no better sacrifice in the movie then Graham Aker's.

Technically he was right when he said "This isn't dying", but there's no way he could have known that. What's important is that he was prepared to lay it all on the line. What I wouldn't give to see a followup movie with him piloting the Repair IV alongside Setsuna's ELS Qant.

Aker is by far the greatest inheritor of Char's legacy.

Usually I'm against it when a show brings back characters who should be *very* dead, but I've made an exception for Graham. This is especially after the director jokingly said he'd be a "freak" if he survived *that*, and then revealed he actually did survive, basically saying that Graham is a freak.

The quirks, contradictions and volition within him really made him one of my favorite characters, if not my favorite, in the entire Gundam franchise.

This is one of my favorite moments in all of Gundam, however, I’ve never been completely happy with the translation. I think Graham’s final words are better translated as:

“This isn’t me, dying… this is humanity, living on!”

It’s a little bit less literal (only a little bit, tho) but it carries the meaning with more strength and clarity.

Been 4 years since i first watched this movie and I still get Goosebumps from this scene every time I see it, i'm just glad to know that they're doing a spinoff series of Gundam 00 where Graham Aker is now one of the main protagonists

well, if you guys look at 00 Re: Vision
Setsuna made contact with the ELS, they saved graham aker life by merging with him. Following the incident he became part of Celestial Being and pilot of the GN-001REIV Gundam Exia Repair IV

I swear out of all the Gundam series I've watched Graham is still my boy. This dude is the most badass pilot you could hope for.
