Kefalonia is an island in Greece that I fell in love with at first sight when I saw its sights on TV. Kefalonia is one of the largest Ionian Islands. The area of the island is 734 km2, which is 150 km2 more than the area of the well-known island of Corfu. However, the fact that Kefalonia is not as popular as Corfu does not mean that this island is not worthy of attention.

Having studied the map of the island, I noted for myself that I want to see Kefalonia. It looks like my points of interest are very far apart on the map of Kefalonia, but in fact the island is small and everything is located close to each other.

Kefalonia is a wonderful mountainous and green island, which is shrouded in the history of Ancient Greece.
Small cozy villages, neat Greek-style houses and picturesque coves attract tourists from all over the world.

Many are simply afraid of mountain serpentines, which are everywhere here! Moving very slowly, they make it difficult for everyone else, including local residents, to move.

Sami Is NOT a city...it’s barely a hamlet.
That said it’s a gem of a place. Kefolnia is wonderful and relaxing.
