DYEING MY HAIR WITH A BEETROOT

Показать описание
IF THIS ISN'T THE WEIRDEST AND MOST SATISFYING HAIR VIDEO, THEN I DON'T KNOW WHAT IS.
Let's dye my hair with a beetroot. Beets.
Key things to know:
- This will only work on light hair
- It fades quickly
-It takes several hours to make
-It has to be left on for several hours
-It works best with freshly washed, not conditioned hair
If you STILL want to try it, then here's how I did it:
I peeled, chopped and boiled some beets in water for 15 minutes. At the same time I chopped up another beet and covered it in foil before placing in the oven for 15 minutes as well.
I blended the chopped, boiled beets together with some of the beetroot juice that I extracted when boiling, as well as some coconut oil to bind the dye. It was recommended to strain the mixture. I use a wig cap which worked beautifully. I placed the smooth mix in a box and let it cool.
I chopped and blended the oven baked beets, again with that previous juice and oil and created a super thick, slurry like mixture. Once again I let this cool before using.
I used both these mixtures in my final colouring as well as a white conditioner to bind the dye to my hair and seal it in the cuticle. I left on the mixture for several hours before rinsing thoroughly and styling as usual.
Again, it's easier to just use a dye.
Let me know what else you'd like me to try!
