For thoses who are septic, playing a CPU car is entirely possible, you just need some gameshark codes, however HUD will be a bit messed up (speed will stay at 0, you also control your original car at the same time, when your car is destroyed, the race will not end since the original car is still alive + you also need a invincible code just for the original car )

You actually aren't playing at all, but nice try try! Its a cam over the cpu cars (spectator mode). The speedometer is also frozen, showing that he is not in control of the cars, merely watching them in first person.
