I love how Scott Jennings can say “This isn’t the Republican base” with a straight face. It is exactly the Republican base.

I love how she says she calls people out when they do something wrong. But she also says she will pardon trump if she becomes president. That in itself is a deal breaker for me... What a waste of a candidacy and a poor excuse for a "strong" woman

"I had black friends growing up" means she has no black friends now.

Oh Let's be real. This says something about this country. We can watch an entire coup attempt on TV, the planning and implementation and we skirt around the issue.

"I call people out when they do something wrong." -Nikki Haley trying to explain how she can't call out the former president for his crimes against the people of the US.

Regarding slavery, when you see anyone tiptoe around our American history… it’s truly sad.

They don’t even allow teachers to tell kids the truth about slavery now either

Don’t expect a politician to be honest with you when they have changed their name to be more “voter friendly”!

Considering how much Southern states oppose CRT I find it hard to believe that Haley grew up in a state that teaches about slavery in 2nd grade
Everything after that can only be assumed to be a lie

The "I have black friends" comment used right away from every racist I've ever known. 😂

Ah the ol' "I had black friends" defense..

Her "black friends" would've told her saying this never works

South Carolina has a confederate memorial day celebration every year.

This question was posed to her because she has been asked this in the past and gave that exact same answer. This was a much larger stage and she failed to recognize the fallout that could ensure. This should go down similarly when a person said she could "see Russia from her backyard." The person who asked it clearly did the research and knew what answer would come out of her.

"I had black friends growing up", it is unbelievable that she said this. God, she is a Confederate to the core.😢

The fact that the USA’s second original sin cannot be discussed says so much about the people of the USA and the leaders who are afraid to anger those who want to ignore that slavery existed or soften its inhumanity by referring to slavery as “Involuntary relocation” or that “slaves learned valuable skills they could use later”.

Let’s be real. Haley grew up thinking “I’m not black, not my problem” like a lot of the AAPI community has admitted to thinking. She cared enough about Black History to pass her test and move on and take advantage of all those minority rights that Black people died for. We’re watching her realize this for herself in realtime. Curious to see how this impacts her policy going forward

“We don’t want those votes” …that’s what she was trying to say before she was interrupted.

It was a tough question.
Just like Katie Couric asking Sarah Palin what books she reads.
Damn Liberal Media with their Gotcha Questions.
