If you are creating a highlight video from your past streams, the chat box overlay is a great way to ensure that anyone watching your video later can see which chat messages you’re interacting with. Additionally, some viewers prefer to watch Twitch streams in full-screen mode, which hides the normal chat layout viewers are supposed to see. Lastly, it’s a fun way to potentially increase audience engagement as some viewers like to see their names appear on the screen.

Thanks for the video but no matter what I do, twitch chat simply won't appear on my screen. It's just a seethrough box and that's it.

I might just be stupid overall since I'm brand new to this, but I've been following some guides and ended up at yours, and I'm still stuck. I can get the chatbox to appear within the Streamlabs Desktop itself, and it shows that I should see it in game, but for some reason I still cannot see it, I really don't know what to do.

Well, at least I can get my chat to work for my stream while using OBS, but there is a reason why I gave up on slobs and that is everything went to PRIME membership. 21 pages of widget themes and there are like 7 that are not prime required and none of the 7 have a chat bot over-lay

What about testing?? Can you not test chatbox anymore before going live? I find it pretty frustrating and then once you do go live, it doesn't look good at all when you try adjusting it to certain layouts because the words is smooshed.
