This hits hard because I've been stung by this myself.
Things were finally going well after a lifetime of struggle, I was in a job I loved, earned myself a promotion, great wage and I was finally ready to start a family and take steps forward, I was soo excited.
And just like that, the company I worked for hit heavy financial problems, I lost my job, all my savings and my ability to provide a better life than I had. This was years ago and even now I'm still trying to get back to where I was, only this time, I'm not going to get too comfortable.

I tell some of my coworkers that we are all dispensable and being humble is important. Although my recent heartbreak has me angry at times, im humble to people in person and at work.
