Very Important.
Mercedes W221 from 2006 to 2013. The original was a 7" analogue display with a resolution of only 800*480 pixels. Most of them are now sold as Mercedes w221 android 10.25 screen, Now you can upgrade it to a android 11 (6+128) 12.3" display and juxtapose it with your gauges as a dual screen style.
The installation of w221 android screen 12.3 is a bit longer and a bit more challenging, so you can give it a go if you're not afraid of the hassle.After install, You will get CarPlay and Android auto on the new Mercedes w221 andorid screen.

Cautions.
1. 2006-2009 NTG3.0, if the original car does not have AUX, you can activate it using the activation menu inside the YeeHung product. Otherwise you will not get the Android sound. For the display section you need to select item 22, OEM Display, within the factory settings.
2. 2010-2013 NTG3.5 has AUX menu, you can use it directly to get Android sound, for the display part you need to select item 20 in the factory settings for OEM Display.
3. After installation, the button pad on the left side of the original screen was removed and its function was moved inside the display, you need to open this touch key within the settings at
Settings-Factory Settings-Onboard Configuration-Control Panel (select 3.0 or 3.5 depending on the original system)

Honestly this is a pretty good thing if you intend to keep your car forever. The added functionality of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto updates the car to modern standards. Personally I would do it if the cover on the dash was leather wrapped. I would personally not run the gps and wireless cables in the dash. They make an adapter cable to use the OEM GPS antenna. The wireless antenna could be kept behind the dash. I see folks talking about value. You can see an early w221(Personally the one I would get before they put the crappy twin turbo m278/m157 engines in them) for under $4k dollars now. The maintaining the value of the car argument is trash at best. An S-Class isn't appreciating anytime in our lifetime. I have a CL600 and I have the smaller 10.25 inch android screen with the OEM setup for the instrument cluster. It is a well needed update and I would never install the factory setup in my car again. You have all the factory things and you have connectivity that is seemless such as music streaming. I have wireless Android Auto/Apple Carplay with mine and it is the go to for me. It has made the experience of the driving the car even more enjoyable. Especially long distances.

Good video but for a Mercedes S Class there are several failures such as the tachometer needle positioned incorrectly, also the installation of the wiring could be more orderly, not all that wiring on the right side of the dashboard but a little more and the cover does not close, not to mention That cable that comes out of the door frame, I don't know where it goes.

It looks very good almost like OEM. However, the exposed wire 35:57 does not give it clean install. It looks tacky and can be done better not to expose wire and give it a clean OEM install.

What is happening with the rpm meter? It is not functioning at all.
I am an owner of that kind of vehicle and I think that new dashboard looks cheaper than the old one (of course that is only my opinion).

Seems that you have issue with the RPM's and had one of those om my C43 AMG and glare/reflection was terrible. Screen was extremely hot after 15 of use and graphics when using my 360 cameras when reversing was terrible. Cost me $180 to return it back to China and did not get a full refund. So folks be careful.
