Since last year I've been painting these very complex paint-by-numbers kits you see on Wish. 20-30 colours and literally impossible to finish in a day. I absolutely love it! It's very relaxing painting for an hour or two in the evenings after a busy day or week

I just started my first paint by numbers kit (as an adult -- I'm sure there must have been one or two during my childhood, but I can't remember any details) So far I've learned that my eyes aren't sharp enough to see the tiny numbers and my hand isn't steady enough....This makes me feel old!

The last time I did Painting by numbers I was about 13 and the quality and amount of paint provided was poor - as you remarked, the numbers showed through the lighter paints! The originality of yours just shows what you can achieve if you’ve got extra resources, and talent of course!

Love your improvements. I just recently did an unboxing and working on my very first paint by number kit. The one I got is on actual canvas but I also have some small ones that are on cardboard. :)

I've never done a paint by numbers but I have done a paint by diamonds. They are fun but take a very long time.

Please please please be careful with those, a lot of those images are stolen and can get you in hot water, even if you didn't know. Gym from "the colour cave" got a beautiful deer paint by numbers thing for Christmas and she decided to do a reverse image search and come to find out, it was stolen. Very beautiful though

i think i was about 9 the last time I did a paint by numbers. I find them so restrictive.. this you made into a master piece though, I must say.. your colour choice is absolutely beautiful x
I wont buy a diamond painting kit or a paint by number kit for myself.. i prefer to do my own thing.. :)

I did a paint by numbers a few years ago. i loved it! but yeah, it's a bit of a strain on the eyes, and my hands are super shaky on the fine details. I LOVE what you did with this one! maybe next time i do one, I'll remember some of your ideas and techniques :)

I love how you made it look like stained glass just by adding the white around each of the shapes. The last time I did a paint by number it was actually with a cousin of mine who was using them as practice images for learning how to create stained glass windows. He said that they are really good examples of what stained glass looks like on a piece of paper.

I've done this twice as a young child with those children's kits. And as an adult, I came across colour by numbers pieces in my colouring books. It's kinda fun :D

This only took you 6 and a half hours?! I did a paint by numbers a few years ago and it took me 4 days! lol. You definitely fixed this kit for sure! This looks amazing and way better than the colour choices in on the box! I wouldn't do another one unless I could find a really creepy scary one 😍😃👍

As a child I did classic Paint by Number paintings.... Nowadays besides being busy with my own art, I like to relax with a game called "Colouring Pixels" on Steam. It's still paint by numbers, but digitally. It's quite fun ^^ Especially since they have made it possible to use your graphic tablet if you own one. It doesn't take the same strain on your wrist as if you make them with mouse :)
Free to use and original artwork in different themes :D

I don't like this "new" way of doing paint by numbers. When I was a kid the colors were premixed so you didn't have to try and mix the same color. I've also done those Paint with Diamonds, and kind of lost interest while my wife was in the hospital. Also my eyes are acting up, the JOYS of getting old.
