I got perma banned for no reason in 2019 and quit the game. 6 months later I got an apology email from epic games saying the ban was a mistake and they added 2000 vbucks to my account as compensation. I hope they do the same thing for everyone dealing with this issue now. Shit made me quit back then and I never played fortnite again since

A friend's little brother got permanently banned because the game accused him of having a lag switch just because he has a very bad internet connection.

Please seek legal assistance about this issue. Epic games won't help things unless there's heavy pressure from the community toward this issue. Just like Valve, It takes a lot of online posts and videos to make small Indie companies patch their platforms and become aware. Let them know instead of using customer service, They have time and energy to fix anything.

When my Fortnite crew was disabled (bc of my credit card glitching) so I opened a ticket of this, and they instantly responded with a real human being (I could tell) then when this happened to me, I told them about that in my ticket and they immediately closed it..

My favourite part of this is how faceless these corporations are becoming. They say they have player support but there are no humans reviewing your case. This is my gripe with every major tech company, including game companies. Social media, YouTube, it's all like this. Bots save the companies money and give the illusion of fast and efficient response times. In reality, nobody is served, and the company becomes faceless.

many people also get a error for their account that says "sorry, your account was inactive and may not login." happened to me and it sucks im pretty sure this was a HUGE issue back in 2018 thats coming back

same thing happened to me last month too i was playing with my friend and i kept getting kicked out then i got banned for 24 hours for exploiting then after the 24 hours were done i was perma banned i tried contacting epic player support but they always say "the ban was applied correctly" its so annoying how a billion dollar company like epic games has an anti cheat system as trash and also they should put real people for the epic player supports tickets because im tired of these AI replies

If you want to save some time, the reason people get banned is for downloading an "vertical update" on OBS

I’ve had a similar issue around August 2023, mine was different as I got a virus on my pc so all my accounts got hacked, twitter discord ect. but when I tried to regain access to my account they said it would be permanently disabled.

I never bought accounts, cheated or anything. my account was even hacked in 2021 and I regained access with no problem at all.

When I contact player support they say “sorry we’d love to help, but we do not have the power to access the account or see why it was disabled”

It’s so dumb, I really hope Epic fixes this.

thats especially funny if we take in to perspective that last victory cap was full of cheaters, and people who turned out to be banned are people with obs update. fortnite is something else
