Time and tide wait for no squirrel.

“Rusty” is a 2-3 year-old female gray squirrel. We’ve seen her through some tough times, including a wound on her right hind leg we weren’t sure she’d recover from. She recently birthed three kits, two with her same distinctive coloring. Rusty likes to cache some of her spoils in the sand and mud at low tide, despite obvious challenges associated with their retrieval.
