On the topic of old Omegas : Omega's vintage and restauration workshop does unbelievable work. For 1000-15000€, they can do full dial restauration. So if you find a vintage piece for a very good price (which can happen a lot), and add the price of the repair/restauration, you can basically have a brand new vintage Omega for 3000-ish.

Crazy that the chronomat was on here! Wearing my Ab0140 chronomat 41mm right now.
There is a 41mm version that wears like an average sized 42/43mm. The 44m version (ab0110) is a chunk of a watch for sure!!
