I got my AirPod 4s this morning they are amazing! I got the base model since I don’t like noise cancellation. They feel amazing and stay in my ear super well. Would recommend getting them

I tried it in store and the ANC with open ear feature is beating other competitors in the market.

Anc 4 works great. The issue I have is I bought them yesterday but they have developed a weird hissing that has made me switch back to my gen2 ear pods.
It’s not a constant hiss, it just feels like the audio balance is off or something. Like someone turned the three bars of the equalizer at the end to 200%.
I would say before that they were great and the ANC was extremely impressive to me considering they don’t seal around the ear.
I’ll try updating the firmware but if that doesn’t fix it then I’ll probably wait for gen 5 or something

ANC isn’t solely reliant on a “seal”, Apple does it well with their algorithm. All it is is reversing the incoming external sound waves so that they conflict with their opposite frequency, more machine than plastic tip.

I use the Apple Watch charger (the little round disc) so no need for usb-c charger. Also if you have the volume about 50%, the anc works very well. I know you can get AirPods Pro 2 for cheap now, BUT they aren’t that comfortable for me personally and the silicone tips bother my ears. No harm trying the 4 anc, I love em.

Got the AirPod 4s because AirPod 4 with ANC is the same thing they sound similar… infact with the regular 4s u can activate background noise that cancels the outside noises anyways… there’s really no difference aside from marketing…

Listen the more expsensive one has transparency convo awareness and has speakers so it’s not only active noise canceling 😂

dont they literally sell wing tips and foam tips that work with these though? someone can still achieve that sealed feeling if they buy one of those products. probably an extra 10-15$

The companies making ear pods are raking it in money wise, as young people are always going to buy these but they can cause deafness eventually and many other ear problems. No one is telling them this as its making money😮
