I agree with you 100%. I finally got rid of the giraffe neck on my Lectric xp and couldn’t be happier. Plus is rides way more stable now.

The key feature of a folding ebike is portability, which you reduced by changing the foldable handlebars. It looks better, but now it takes up more space.

I changed the bars on our folder, put some small ape hangers on and it looks awesome. I have a quick video of what it looks like on the channel.

after 100 miles and one fall that string bean stem was adios on my 20inch folder e bike.

Anyone experience what feels like speed wobble with the giraffe style stems? Even after replacing my stock 22" Lectric XP handlebars to a 26 inch, I get speed wobble while one handed doing turn signals or just wanting to relax a hand. Doesn't seem to matter how fast I'm going either and yes, I've check for any lose bolts, nuts, and the head unit is solid, so not sure if changing to bmx handlebars would cure the problem. EDIT: my mistake, new bars are 28.5" (720mm).

Worst ebike out there. I bought it direct from company last year and motor gave out before 600 miles. Yamee refused to replace bike and instead sent me a new motor and told me to fix it!! Not only that, I’ve had multiple issues with the battery as well. Save your money and purchase something else!!!

Do you have a list of upgrade parts- Air suspension, caliper extensions, new discs, and any programming mods you did? Been staying away from folding because if the bad stems but now this looks promissing.

HEY DAVID IF YOU DONT USE THE TURTLE NECK RELEASE STEM DEVICE AND JUST ATTACH THE BMX HANDLE BAR ON THE LITTLE NECK AND TIGHTEN IT . IS IT MORE SECURE ? DOING LITTLE TRICKS? ON THE BIKE AND STUFF BUT NOTHING CRAZY THOUGH?.

Yeah that's a nice upgrade i hate that gooseneck crap going on..the only problem i would be able to the the handlebar..maybe I'll get the attachment that folds the handlebars too..

The BMX bars make it look so much better! These folding e-bikes kind of look like BMX bikes, they're just missing the handle bars.

David do you have a video of your 79.00 turtleneck stem with the handlebars that came with the lectric 3.0 bike? I have 2 in my basket, but I would like to see the stem with the handlebars before I hit that buy button.
