It is always leaning towards gloss just being better lol unless work in a brightly lit office building. But any average home can accommodate a glossy screen.

I have very similar experience with this monitor and it's highly recommended.

Text clarity seems better, if not the same, compared to my previous 27" LG 27GL850-B 1440p IPS monitor. I have HDR full time in Windows, I suggest you run the Windows HDR Calibration app from the Windows Store, to get accurate brightness and color. To fix the slightly muted colors in games, I use Nvidia control panel and increased the digital vibrance from 50% to 56%.

This display has built-in speakers, a highly underrated feature. I normally wear headphones while gaming, but will sometimes utilize the speakers when playing casually or watching a movie or show.

What a setup! I see a PS Audio Sprout, and KEFs, you sir have great taste. I have been looking real hard at this LG monitor but need KVM function built in which the Asus has. Like you mentioned, the clean looks of the LG are so nice, vs the overtly gamer ascetic of the Asus. I'm trying really hard to wait for Dell to finally announce the U3225QE, a 32" 4K 120Hz IPS with a ton of connectivity. It's already passed NRAA certification, just hasn't been officially announced yet. We'll see if I have the patience...
