Congress to vote on GOP tax plan

Republicans seemingly have the votes they need to pass their controversial tax reform plan, but can they pass a spending bill by the end of the week and avert a government shutdown? CBS News congressional correspondent Nancy Cordes joins CBSN to discuss the latest from the Hill.

Why can't members of Congress get paid minimum wage and try to live off of it, and get taxed like minimum wages single people??

Minimum wage in California are 10.50. A year a person with that wage around 20, 000 and married with those jobs will equal 40, 000 or more. Not an accurate statement because of tax deduction. It might be worse in other states. This might help or destroy the poor and middle class lol.. let's see what happens
