This really angers me! 🤬 When I was in my early 20's, I was homeless for a couple of years. One time at a Mc Donald's, back in the early 90's my friend and I watched an employee from Mc Donald's, put a sizable box in the dumpster. After they went back inside, we went to see what they had tossed. There were several hamburgers and cheeseburgers a few big macs and some fries. Everything except for the fries, was still quite warm. We grabbed the box and went to a local park, where a lot of homeless gathered during the day and passed out everything, except for a couple of cheeseburgers and hamburgers, that we ate. What a shame to throw away that hot food. Why not give it to the homeless? Now they compact everything before they throw it away. SMH The reason they say they don't distribute it to the homeless, is that if someone gets sick from it, they could be sued. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the food. It may not taste as fresh, but that is it and, when you're starving, it tastes delicious! The homeless are people too!! I pray that no one reading this, ever has been or ever has to experience being homeless. It is an awful feeling! Not knowing where you are going to sleep or what you will eat, no place to take a shower etc.. People usually look right through you and, most of the ones that do look at you, do so with disgust. There are those wonderful few though, that have kind hearts and are willing to help out. I haven't been homeless for over two decades, but that feeling sticks with you forever. Whenever I can I help out, I do. If you can't help out with money or a little food, that is fine. These days, money is tight for A LOT of people. One thing you can do, and it's totally free, is smile and say hello. May God Bless each and every person reading this. Take care and be kind..❤️

100% support the restaurant and the police in this instance. This "homeless" person had been kicked off that property for panhandling in the parking lot and disrupting their legal business. It's possible that the fellow who bought the food didn't know that, so maybe that could have been handled a bit more diplomatically. But manager was certainly within their rights, and acting to the benefit of all the other customers, which I completely support. Unless this sort of misbehavior is handled, and handled quickly, you would be amazed how an area can go downhill, with loss of business. As for the "hunger" thing....at the time, there were plenty of soup kitchens and orgs in the area that feed the homeless for free.

I understand if the man had been in the establishment multiple times and had been violent or disruptive to please ask him to leave but they could have bagged the food to go and handled it with calm and respect towards both males. I've been homeless and I have worked in fast food as well as became a 911 dispatcher for almost 10 years. Unfortunately there are people who can't stand to see anyone down and out and don't want to be approached asked for money to them I've heard this many times ( should get a life) work and not expect others to support him. They don't know what has happened in his life don't know if he is a veteran, lost his job due to covid-19 downsizing they don't know about anything and they don't care. The officer shouldn't have said I'm the law and that's why. She should have asked if the management would let them take their food which technically should have happened they purchased a product and it by law was theirs! If they couldn't then a refund should have been issued right then. The management could have handled it differently. The man who bought the meal for the homeless man I applaud you for that but you did get carried away a bit. I understand it wasn't fair to either of you but calm cool and collected soft voice as well said I would greatly appreciate it if I could have a to go bag for myself and the gentleman here we will be happy to leave if it is bothering other patrons and to the employees....
You knew when the food was ordered at that time you should have advised the man buying the food it would need to be a to go order due to previous problems with the homeless man and could have avoided the whole thing from escalating. All parties had issues except the homeless man who obviously didn't say a word about anything. Shame...shame...shame on the other patrons who feel uneasy because he's either dirty, asking for money FOR FOOD for God's sake he's down on his luck give someone a frikin break.

It is a felony to lie to a cop. The staff members should be arrested along with the cop that came. That cop is engaging the criminal act?

What is this world coming to when we lose our humanity to treat each other like human beings wherever this restaurant is I hope and pray to God that you don't make another dime at that store ! And for any other restaurants out there that reads this post the same thing goes for you as well

Those who have complained about this homeless person. It could be you, your parents, brothers and sisters. The way the officer looks at him, I do really want to slap him. And the police officer, she deserves a big fat F.
