ESO | What's the BEST stat for a DD Build? Magicka Or Stamina!?

The age old war in the Elder Scrolls Online! Which is better for dps (or in general) Mag or Stam builds? Well, that term is kinda redundant now. Since the 3 year combat pass ZOS implimented for changes and standardisation for skills and abilities, they have made this question so much easier... The answer is, "whichever you like!"

Stamina and Magicka along with weapon and spell damage do not scale on skills in the same way as before. BEFORE if it cost mag it would be boosted by it, and vica versa with stam. NOW that is all gone. Your HIGHEST is the only one that counts. It's just about you managing your resources. More in the video!

Always preferred magicka just because I like the skills, how they look and play, this was a nice change they did.

Certain races and classes lean towards either mag or stam. Nords generally suit stam builds because they get bonus stam. Altmer tend to make better mag builds as they get bonus mag. Nightblades have a slight bias towards mag because of the mag flood passive skill they get which increases their max mag.

Some classes and races have less or even no preference for either mag or stam. In the video it was alluded to that the Arcanist has several skills with costs which depend on the higher of your "offensive" stats. These skills greatly reduce the Arcanists dependence on which offensive stat you favor. Some races like Dunmer, Argonians and Khajit get equal bonuses to both stam and mag, arguably making them more versatile.

More versatile racial and class choices may be better for new players as it matters less if they go with either mag or stam and will be penalised less for making bad build choices, though the racial differences to mag and stam are pretty insignificant.

I've only just started with stam builds. Without wearing brierheart and using reaving blows cp, there are not enough stamina heals. Especially for solo play. Or maybe there is something I'm missing. I'm not saying a stamina healer build but maybe a solo build. Vigor doesn't seem to cut it sometimes. Maybe it'll be added to the game eventually or scribing.

So like, it takes from the highest stat you have right, but like, which one is better bruh? Stamina or Magicka? (I ask because the idiocy on the internet is never ending, even after you explain it thoroughly lol). sn: Another great example of maxing one and then using the other for skills is PvP Nightblades. They tend to max Magicka to be able to spam stealth and then use daggers and Stamina skills to oneshot you. Also there's a Nightblade passive that gives you extra Magicka iirc so you can have an even larger pool.

I think stam is a little better for trial groups only because you can get your stamina higher than magicka for most classes only mag class I think is better is plar. But since perfected rele gives you more stamina and coral is easier to use than bahsei and medium sets are being used on dps toons which boost stamina regeneration I think stamina is better. At least if you go over meta in trifecta trial groups. For solo and dungeons I think that mag is probably better since there are more mechanics to deal with and rolling more etc

You never actually answer the question in the video, or really address the topic in the title.

While I understand that you can mix and match skills, and how the scaling works I for one would still like to know what resource is more convenient, useful, as well as easier to stack and synergize with as well as a discussion of sets that scale only based on one resource, like Coral.
