Yemen’s Houthis target Israeli ships: Group closely monitor Red Sea maritime traffic

Houthi rebels in Yemen have carried out a series of raids on commercial ships in the region. The Iran-backed group says the attacks are in response to the war on Gaza.

An Al Jazeera team joined Houthi Coast Guards as they monitor Israeli ships crossing the Red Sea.

as a Yemeni, the reason why we started taking those ships is that it has been mentioned 2000 years ago in one our historic books that these ships are ours. They have been asigned to us by our great great grandfather.
