16 June - Main Session 1 - What does effective enforcement mean?

Main Session 1 of the EDPS Conference 2022 on the Future of Data Protection: Effective enforcement in the digital world, 16 June 2022, discusses the concept of effective enforcement. In fact, enforcement is not an objective in itself, but a means to achieving compliance. The panel will discuss what we consider as a benchmark for ‘effective’ enforcement, and how to operationalize this across different governance models.
